What happens if my clothes or items are damaged or lost?Laundrysmith strives to provide the highest-quality care for your garments, and we work hard to keep up with these standards. In the rare circumstance that items are lost or damaged they are protected under our Protection Policy. Laundrysmith accepts all wash and fold garments on basis of weight and does not perform a piece-by-piece count. Reimbursements for lost or damaged items tendered through wash and fold laundry service may be issued if a detailed list of each item is accompanied with the order at the time of drop off. The list must include brand, item style, color and size of each individual item. If no list is provided at drop off, we will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items and there will be no reimbursements in any form. Customer Agreement By purchasing our services, the customer agrees they are at risk at all times for the loss or damage of their personal property. Therefore, the customer agrees any claims and reimbursements must be made in accordance to Laundrysmith's policies.

What is the Protection Plan and what does it cover?LAUNDRYSMITH Protection Plan covers: • Missing or damaged items • Used-value (up to 60% of retail purchase price) up to $25 per item • Covers only when reported within 24hrs of delivery Plan does NOT cover: • Shrinkage • Color Bleeding • Holes and tears in weak fabrics • Damage due to items left in laundry • Any items left behind in laundry • Normal wear and tear

What if I left some items in my pockets?Although we try as hard as possible to track such items, we are not responsible for loose items in pockets or bundles of garments (i.e. jewelry, watches, cash, etc.). We request that customers empty pockets prior to putting laundry out for pickup as we can not be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (lipstick, gum, pens, etc.).

How do I submit a claim?In the rare circumstance that items are lost or damaged they are protected under our Protection Policy. Please submit claims to rina@mylaundrysmith.com with the following criteria: • Picture of damaged item • Order date/number • Description of claim • Assessed value • Copy of purchase receipt

How do you reimburse for damages and losses?Any reimbursement required will be issued in Laundrysmith credits applied to future purchases. Credit given to the customer is not guaranteed and is under the sole discretion of Laundrysmith. Any reimbursement for a wash and fold item deemed damaged by Laundrysmith shall be limited to and shall not exceed ten (10) times the weight of the item multiplied by the charge per pound of wash and fold (not inclusive of tax and other fees) regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment. For any damaged items that we replace, we will keep the damaged item.

Do you pick up dry cleaning?Yes, we absolutely do. Please sign in to schedule an order for your dry cleaning using the easy to follow prompts.

What is the turnaround time for dry cleaning?Any orders that include dry cleaning will require minimum 5 days. We deliver dry cleaning orders twice week so please plan accordingly when selecting your pickup and delivery dates.

Is there a minimum order?Yes, a modest $40.

Can I combine dry cleaning items with wash and fold to meet the minimum?Yes, you can. The minimum of $40 is for pickup and delivery. You are welcome to schedule an order for pickup and delivery with only dry cleaning or dry cleaning with regular machine-washable clothes. All we ask is that you bag these items separately when preparing your order for pickup. We are not responsible for dry-clean-only items that are in the same bag as wash and fold laundry.

How do I bag dry cleaning for pickup?You can use a laundry bag or kitchen trash bag. If you have wash and fold laundry to give us, too, then we recommend bagging those separately. If ordering dry cleaning and wash and fold pickup, please describe which bag is which in the special instructions fields when scheduling your pickup.

Do I have to be home when you pick up or deliver my clothes?No you do not. Just let us know where you'll leave your order when booking your pickup and where our driver can leave it upon delivery.

What if I like my laundry done a certain way?LAUNDRYSMITH provides wash, dry, fold services with various cycles and care options, and dry cleaning services, as designated on our website. Please select the service best suited for each individual garment. We are not responsible for damage to ‘dry clean only’ items included in your laundry. Specialized care instructions such as gentle/delicate cycle, hand wash articles, air dry articles, etc. must be clearly separated and labeled by the customer.

Do I need to sign a contract?No, you don't. You can cancel at any time.

How will I be billed?When you place your order, we will ask for your credit card information. Your card will not be charged until your order is complete.

What should I put my dirty laundry in?We recommend putting your laundry in a laundry bag or a trash bag that cinches closed.

What happens if I go out of town?You can suspend your account until you return from your vacation. Just log into your account and put your service on hold until you return.

Do you look at laundry tags before washing and drying?Please be advised that we do not look at laundry tags prior to laundering. We cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding or shrinkage, or against damage to weak and tender fabrics as this would occur in any laundering process. How do you handle bedding like comforters and bedspreads?Though we take every precaution when it comes to bedding with batting, fillers, and down, we cannot be responsible for the internal batting or other components of comforters, bedspreads, mattress covers, and the like due to age or wear or manufacturer placement error. Precautions will be taken to alleviate these problems if possible.
